Fox Linton Associates appointed on Scotland's first Waldorf Astoria at the Caledonian
AUGUST 2011

The Caledonian Hilton Edinburgh is to be re-branded as a Waldorf Astoria hotel after a £24m investment programme. The conversion is due to complete by the summer of 2012.

The 241-room property, which stands on Princes Street, will be known as The Caledonian, a Waldorf Astoria Hotel.

A total of £10m has already been spent on enhancing the hotel with a further £14m planned as part of the conversion process.

Fox Linton Associates are delighted to be working with Hilton on the refurbishment of the public spaces which include the spa and restaurant. Other proposals include creating a large glazed atrium reminiscent of the Concourse that once stood on the site, transforming the hotel back to its former glory.
